Rapé is a legal sacred Amazonian Indigenous Snuff....pronounced 'Hapay' can be casually referred to as ‘hapé, ‘hapi’ or ‘rapay” by some Westerners. It is an ancient, sacred, and powerful gift from earth which is mainly made by various indigenous tribes originating in South America, primarily Brazil and Peru used in their spiritual and cultural traditions. Rape' is made with much reverence, lots of prayers and in a labor intensive process to a powder form with a mix of different refined sacred herbs, plants, leaves, flowers, Amazonian trees, seeds, and 'Mapacho' the sacred Jungle Tobacco. Rapé seeks out illness, negativity and trauma on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual levels in the body to be released. It is administered by being blown through a bamboo or bone pipe called a 'Tepi' or Kuripe' (self administering tool) up each nostril, and then the energy is released. A calm, focused and beautifully balanced energy is the end result.
